Greg Bicouvaris was honored with the acclaimed Charita Stavrou Steward of the Year Award for 2025. Greg's work in Mass Media has showcased the Newport News Greek Festival & the Church for several decades and has brought wonderful attention to Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church with his linear and digital endeavors. Sylvia Marcin was also a recipient.

The Hampton Roads Sports Media Hall of Fame has revealed its 2025 induction class. The eighth group of recipients will be honored during a May 3 ceremony at Langley Speedway in Hampton, with the rain date set for May 17.
Five media members were voted in by the selection committee.
In alphabetical order, they are:
* Jay Colley, the longtime radio voice and occasional video broadcaster for William & Mary football and basketball
* Brad Face, a former sports anchor for the area's ABC TV affiliate, WVEC
* Woube Gebre, a Norfolk State radio and TV broadcaster, podcast host and occasional ESPN+ announcer
* Earle Hellen, a late golf writer and sports reporter for the Daily Press and Times-Herald
* Bill Leffler, a late sports writer and columnist for The Virginian-Pilot
Two honorary recipients also will be celebrated: Wade Harrington, a video production specialist, and Langley Speedway owner Bill Mullis, who has sparked the track to big crowds since taking over.
"This is an excellent class of recipients and we look forward to a wonderful event later this year," said Newport News' Greg Bicouvaris, a co-founder of the hall of fame along with Chuck Hall.

Greg Bicouvaris will be inducted to the Athletic Hall of Fame of the Lower Virginia Peninsula, Class of 2025. Greg will be honored for his Broadcasting work. Eight total Recipients will be recognized. Greg is receiving an Outstanding Achievement Award for broadcasting. The Ceremony will be August 10, 2025 at the Boo Williams Sportsplex.

Media hall gains "perpetual" home: A perpetual plaque of the Hampton Roads Sports Media Hall of Fame is displayed at the Chef's Market in the City Center of Newport News.
